Catastrophe Analytics for a New Peak Peril

What happens when you combine a changing climate, increasing exposure in high risk areas, and a build-up of burnable vegetation?

As we saw during the 2017 and 2018 wildfire seasons, those factors combined led to seven of the most destructive wildfires in California History. Wildfire risk has increased to the point where it can now be considered a peak peril, akin to earthquake or hurricane. (Re)insurers must manage it accordingly.
