The Moody’s RMS release of the new windstorm models in March 2023 unified all European climate perils under the high-definition (HD) modeling framework across 19 countries. With the Europe Flood HD Models, Europe Severe Convective Storm HD Models, and Europe Windstorm HD Models, firms can unlock complete understanding of risk, across all frequencies and severities, including the drivers of earning risk and other KPIs used by risk carriers to calibrate their business strategy towards profitable and resilient growth.
In preparation for 1/1 2024 renewal, Moody’s RMS is committed to helping our customers migrate to HD methodology, which facilitates more complete and transparent risk-based transactions, regardless of whether firms are writing risk in a single country or across the entire region. As leading brokers and reinsurers adopt this approach, it is our priority to partner with the entire (re)insurance market to enable all companies to take advantage of HD quality modeling. HD results are platform agnostic and easy to use, making them a valuable tool in your risk management arsenal.
