Validate Your View of Risk Using an Extensive Library of Historical Data
Each event offers a variety of learning opportunities to understand how your business performed relative to actual or modeled conditions, and what factors drove the most risk. Taking advantage of these opportunities informs a better understanding of your risk landscape.
The HWind Enhanced Archive offers an extensive library of wind hazard metrics from historical tropical cyclones, informing a clear representation of each storm's size, intensity, and track throughout its life cycle.
The archive helps you validate your historical experience against modeled wind field characteristics and losses. It can aid internal model development processes, the understanding of a model and its underlying assumptions, or support regulatory requirements when developing a custom view of risk.
The HWind Enhanced Archive is a catalog of high-resolution snapshots and footprints from tropical cyclone landfalls over the last 20+ years. It uses the same underlying science and methodology as the HWind Real-Time Analysis products, as well as data not available during the event. The archive provides the most accurate reconstruction of the storm's wind field size and intensity leading up to, during, and following landfall.
