Timo Litty Senior Director, Moody's Insurance Solutions – Europe and Africa

During his time at Moody’s, Timo has helped in defining, shaping and expanding our insurance  franchise. He enjoys building teams and strategies alike and values few things more than team work – the interpersonal equivalent to the solutions we build in times of exponential risk.

With a technical background, Timo enjoys the amalgamation of scientific solutions, intrapreneurship and relationship building his roles at Moody’s have offered. This has led and informed Product R&D as well as uncovered and converted strategic opportunities. Prior to Moody’s, Timo worked at JP Morgan Asset Management (Insurance), in the Oil & Gas industry and ran his own start-up out of Barclay’s incubator program RISE.

James Hargreave Moody’s Data Solutions

James Hargreave is an Industry Practice Lead at Moody's Analytics, where he is responsible for developing their value proposition for company data across the insurance market in Europe and Africa. With 8 years of experience helping financial and corporate sector clients transform their use of global entity data to make better, more efficient decisions, James brings extensive expertise in leveraging data analytics for strategic insights.

Paulo Glorias Moody’s Data Solutions

Paulo Glórias is a Cyber Risk Expert at Moody’s, where he provides support for all Go To Market activities in Europe and Africa. With more than 20 years of experience in the technology sector, and the latest 6 years focused on Cybersecurity, Paulo helped companies across all sectors to improve how they manage cyber risk, in particular to use Security Ratings to make better decisions.  

Laurent Marescot Senior Director, Market and Product Specialists at Moody's RMS

Laurent is a catastrophe risk management expert at Moody's RMS, advising some of the largest companies in the (re)insurance industry how to best manage their nat cat, agriculture, cyber and terrorism risks. He also interacts as an expert for governmental and regulatory authorities. Laurent initially joined Moody's RMS in 2008 as part of the account management team, servicing the European (re)insurance and ILS market. He then headed the model product management group for all EMEA and APAC climatic/weather risk perils, such as windstorm, typhoon, severe convective storm and flood, as well as Moody's RMS global agricultural risk.

Prior to Moody's RMS, Laurent worked 3 years at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ) as a Research Associate and Lecturer, managing multidisciplinary research projects. Laurent still lectures regularly on catastrophe modeling and insurance risk quantification at universities and gives seminars and invited talks in international industry conferences. Laurent co-authored numerous industry publications, peer-reviewed scientific articles and proceeding papers. He holds an MSc in Geology from the University of Lausanne and a PhD in Geophysics from the University of Lausanne and the University of Nantes.
