HWind Snapshots

HWind Snapshots provide a representation of current wind field conditions at various points throughout a storm's life cycle. They are produced regularly every three to six hours from the start of aircraft reconnaissance to event dissipation. A network of over thirty land, sea, and airborne observational data sources is used to inform each snapshot, detailing the wind hazard profile, strength and location of the strongest winds, and storm location.

HWind Footprints: Post-Event Wind Field Reconstructions

HWind post-event wind field reconstructions are wind hazard footprints produced one to three days after tropical cyclone landfall. They provide the best possible representation of the event's wind field and track based on expert review of all event observational data used for the snapshots, and any additional post-event Information.
