December 3-14, 2007 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, Bali

On December 10, Dr. Celine Herweijer presented the results of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) study “Ranking of the World's Cities Most Exposed to Coastal Flooding Today and in the Future,” part of a series planned by the OECD on the theme of Cities and Climate Change.
 

December 4-5, 2007 The Department of Management of the London School of Economics

Dr. Gordon Woo gave a presentation on evacuation decision analysis. Dr. Alice Stuart-Menteth spoke in lieu of Dr. Claire Souch at the Institute of Actuaries "Younger Members 2007 Convention" for newly qualified actuaries. She covered the topic "European Windstorm and Flood Risk Catastrophe."

October 16-17, 2007 Catastrophe Modeling Forum: Changing Climatic Dynamics and Catastrophe Model Projections

RMS' Dr. Celine Herweijer and Dr. Shree Khare participated with other leading climatologists and modelers in a forum discussing the impacts of climate change on catastrophe modeling. Dr. Khare spoke about fundamental challenges in catastrophe modeling, and Dr. Herweijer addressed the issue of climate change.
