Asia Capital Reinsurance Licenses RMS Catastrophe Modeling Software

Agreement Signifies RMS' Expansion into Asia Pacific Market

Newark, CA – November 29, 2007 – Risk Management Solutions (RMS), the world’s leading provider of products and services for catastrophe risk management, today announced that Asia Capital Reinsurance (ACR) will license its RiskLink® catastrophe modeling platform and Reinsurance Platform.  ACR, a Pan-Asian reinsurer, will use RMS’ suite of Asia-specific peril models to improve its understanding of catastrophe risk as it builds its regional business. This agreement highlights the growing demand for catastrophe models in Asia Pacific, and RMS’ commitment to serving this market.

Established in 2006 and headquartered in Singapore, ACR is the first exclusively Pan-Asian focused independent reinsurer, formed to address the demands of the fast-growing Asian insurance industry.

“We are delighted to be chosen as ACR’s primary provider of catastrophe risk models,” stated Jason Futers, vice president and Asia market practice lead at RMS.  “We share with the company a goal to expand accumulation and risk management expertise in and for the Pan-Asian market, and look forward to putting that vision into practice.”

“RMS is highly respected in the marketplace, and has also expressed a commitment to further develop their modeling capabilities in the Pan-Asian region,” stated Jim Attwood, Chief Risk Officer for ACR.  “As we continue to enhance our risk management processes and better assess and understand our natural catastrophe exposures, this type of proficiency and dedication is vital.”
