RMS Appoints Sandra Cruze as Vice President of
Quality Assurance
Newark, Calif. – May 30, 2007
– Sandra Cruze has been appointed by
Risk Management Solutions, the world’s largest catastrophe risk analysis
company, as vice president and lead of quality assurance. Cruze has more
than 20 years’ experience in the field and joins RMS from Google, where
she was engineering director of quality.
“Our software and analytics are becoming increasingly mission-critical
for our clients, and Sandy has the caliber and experience to lead our
quality assurance agenda,” commented Marian Szefler, senior vice
president of products at RMS.
“Around 18 months ago, Marian Szefler joined RMS from Oracle to lead our
effort to scale our software development capacities, and I'm delighted
that Marian has added Sandy to his team,” said Hemant Shah, president &
CEO of RMS.
Before joining Google, where she was instrumental in ensuring the
company maintained its quality standards during a period of phenomenal
expansion, Cruze was director of quality at eBay and built the quality
assurance department for its transactional engine, PayPal. Before that,
she worked at Oracle Corp, Sun Microsystems and Pacific Bell.
In her new role, Cruze will focus on software quality, streamlining
processes, and improving testing capabilities. She will also oversee the
total quality management process at RMS to ensure maximum efficiency of
operations. “This is an exciting time to join RMS, as it continues to
expand and enter new markets,” said Cruze. “Product quality is a top
priority, and I look forward to building on the strong processes and
procedures already in place at RMS.”
Cruze holds a doctorate in business from Golden Gate University, San
Francisco and a BA in mathematics from San Francisco State University.
She will be based in the company’s California office.
